ChildsPlay at Bachman Lake— is located next to Bachman Therapeutic Recreation Center, 2750 Bachman Dr.
This Landscape Structures playground was the result of the Park Cities Rotary Club Centennial Project gift to the City of Dallas. Nestled alongside Bachman Lake just east of the Bachman Recreation Center, it has a nautical theme and all of the events are accessible by wheelchairs utilizing the extensive ramp system. It has a custom Lighthouse, the exclusive Landscape Structures SwayFun glider, ships, a custom “Southwest Airlines” two seat tuffrider, and more. It’s a great place because you also get to watch airplanes land on the runway across the lake at Love Field! The park includes a pavilion for a picnic, and the jogging trail around Bachman Lake is between the playground and the lake. This is a beautiful, accessible playground for all abilities.
