GLADWIN COUNTY “ Attention moms! Do you want to earn some extra cash and support a great cause? The Gladwin County Parks and Recreation Board will be hosting a fundraiser to begin raising funds for a universally accessible playground that will be installed at the Gladwin County Parks and Recreation Area (also known as the old Sportsman Club). There will be a Mom 2 Mom Sale taking place at the Gladwin High School cafeteria on April 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You may be wondering, “What is a Mom 2 Mom sale?” Well, imagine this…. tables and tables of baby and kids clothes of all sizes for boys and girls, toys, shoes, strollers, pack-n-plays, car seats, outdoor toys, and any other baby or kids items; all for sale at one place, at one time! It is a whole summer of garage sale hunting packed into one day!
Not only is this a chance for you to shop, but it is a chance for you to sell your items and make some extra cash. This is how it works. You buy a 10-foot table space (the table will be provided) for $20, and set up all your items on Friday night. Then, Saturday morning you stand at your table space and sell your items and collect all the money, which goes into your pocket. All of the profit from the items sold at your table is yours to keep! If you have large items that will not fit in your space then you may place those in a designated place called the ‘large item’ area, and you put a price tag on those items. When those items sell, 10 percent of the selling price goes towards the Gladwin County Universally Accessible Playground Project and 90 percent of the profit goes into your pocket!
An additional benefit of purchasing a table space at the Mom 2 Mom Sale is that you will be able to participate in the ‘early bird’ shopping, which takes place from 8-9 a.m.
As you do your spring cleaning and want to clear out some of your kids and baby items and make some money, contact Bekah Townsend today! You can call 989-429-2412, or email email@example.com, to receive a contract to reserve your table as soon as possible.
