Second SkyRocket sale will launch a unique playground

Strathcona Sunrise Rotary Club returns with super popular compost material


Gardeners eager to get their hands on small quantities of SkyRocket compost are to get another chance to do so thanks to Strathcona Sunrise Rotary Club.

But this time it will not only be gardens that get a boost – profits from the sale will also help fund a unique local playground specially designed for children who have difficulties with mobility.

Last fall, an experimental sale of SkyRocket by the club resulted in hundreds of people stopping by Driftwood Mall car park to buy small bags, the sheer numbers taking club members by surprise. More than 1,500 bags each containing 36 litres (about eight gallons) of the locally-made wonder soil enhancer were sold in just seven hours.  So the club is gearing up for an even bigger response when they hold their spring sale on Saturday, April 3.
