Funding for the Westerville, OH’s first all-inclusive playground was approved by council on July 1. Millstone Creek Park will be located on 15 acres at the southwest corner of the Spring Road-Maxtown Road intersection. Features for the $1.6 million park will include an all-inclusive playground that children with disabilities, sports fields, a shelter house with restrooms, a walking path and sports courts.
The playground with its current design by Playworld Systems includes a large playground structure with ramps, many ground activities, climbing boulders, adapted swings, and a NEOS system. You can view of a PowerPoint of the proposed playground at the City of Westerville’s website.
