Kiwanis raise money for new accessible playground in Pullman, Wa

Backed by the Kiwanis Club’s global dedication to community service, the Pullman chapter has a mission to serve the children of Pullman. The club plans to spend money raised at the pancake breakfast to build a new park for children, regardless of disabilities. “We try to serve the community and give special emphasis to children,” said Dennis McConnell, Kiwanis club president-elect. “We’re going to build an accessible playground that can be used by kids that don’t have disabilities and by kids that do have disabilities.”

The Kiwanis’ annual pancake breakfast held in December 2009 was the beginning of their fundraising for their new playground.
